Visit a Forest and Help

At the same time as you visit, members would be welcome to contribute to helping in the projects of replanting, caring for the wild life, that will be released to live naturally in the forest, and perhaps take part in organised fun and adventure activities, agaiIn an outdoor clearing a structure dominated by a thatched brown-colored nipa roof stands slightly elevated from stone base abutting packed earth.n lead by and generated by the local people. There will be opportunities for not only nature walks, or rambles, but also the possibility of rock-climbing, abseiling, fishing, canoeing, or hunting for new species, photo-shoot hunts, and celebrating local ritual feasting and festivals.

Ilegal clearing of forest          --         Restored to nature

Preserve Native people’s life-styles:It is not the aim of FWA to force native tribes out of their forest habitat, nor to rob them of their way of life.  On the contrary, the Organisation aims to preserve native people’s life-styles, and help them find better or greener ways to co-exist with nature in the forest.  Many of these peoples still depend on hunting certain wild life as a food source, and where as the supply of wild boar or dear may be diminishing, the society aims to introduce a management plan where livestock can breed and subsequently be released into the forest for tribal people to hunt. Some of our members may be against hunting, but we do not wish this to become an attraction to commercial hunters. Visitors may find themselves drawn in by the tribes’ people to accompany them on a hunt, and it would be a matter of choice if they did so, but we would insist that the natives have the right to instruct what and how visitors should and should not do on the hunt.

A lot of work to do

Because of illegal logging and out-law prosecting and illegal mining for precious metals, there is increasingly more restoration work to, replanting of trees, and reviving the natural forna of the forest needs to be carried out. Your support will give alternative work to forest dwellers, so there is less need for them to cut down trees to make a living.              Native chidren play naked in thier village. This is natural to them and their digity should be preserved. We aim to give them an eco-friendly existence with the forest.

You could rectify climate change by coming to visit

If you would like to join FWA in its endeavours, you can enrol as a member for as little as $5 per month, or $60 per year.  Each membership will have a unique number, these numbers are entered into a raffle draw every quarter; the first prise being a free trip to one of our forest villages, either take part in replanting, simply enjoy a holiday see the wildlife or take part in a paint-ball game.

It is your choice what you give, the big your donation the greater effect you will have on saving the forests, and ultimately, we hope, saving the planet.
